My name is Madeline Stevens. I’m an upcoming sophomore in college where I’m double majoring in English and Spanish. I hope to go into some form of publishing or become a college professor. Soon, I will be studying abroad in Santiago, Chile for a semester.
I’ve been an equestrian since I was about eight years old. I love the outdoors and hiking. I participate in musical theatre and I also sing and play the guitar. I’m the second of four children. I strongly believe that Dead Poet’s Society is the best movie ever made (La La Land, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Super 8, and Life of Pi are close seconds).
What’s with pins?
“Madeline’s Pins” might seem random, but I assure you, my friend, I put a lot of thought into this.
- I collect pins. It’s something I started when I took a trip to Europe. They’re fantastic souvenirs. They’re small, easy to find, and inexpensive (they also look super rad on denim jackets).
- You can share your location on iPhones by “dropping a pin”. When I post a journal entry about a trip or experience, I’m dropping a pin on where I am geographically.
- This name also gives me freedom to write about anything . I can drop a pin on my thoughts about a certain topic, how I’m growing as a person, or where I’m going next.
If you’d like a more in-depth and serious version of my bio, you can look at my very first journal entry.
